There are an estimated 600,000 Egyptian expats worldwide, and this election drew in more than twice the number of  overseas voters than the January constitutional referendum.

The vote was supposed to end on Sunday, but because of the overwhelming demand, the vote has been extended to Monday.

The race is between General Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and politician Hamdeen Sabahi.
