On January 11, 2025, the fighters of the Shin Bet’s operational unit, IDF fighters and Yamam fighters from the Samaria Brigade arrested the terrorists Ahmed Ali Zakharna and Tarek Abu Zeid, in Schehem (Nablus) while they were traveling in their vehicle on the way to carry out an attack. Two M16 weapons were found in their possession and seized.

In their interrogation, it emerged that the two were on their way to carry out a shooting attack in Huwara – a town near Shechem where many Israeli vehicles pass through. They and even acquired from Hamas’ Jenin Battalion a 100 kg bomb which they wanted to use against IDF forces operating in Judea and Samaria. The bomb was found and confiscated.

Also, Monday night during an operation by the IDF and the Shin Bet in Qabatiya additional operatives from the terror squad were arrested. Weapons and a powerful 100 kg explosive were confiscated.
