Authorities in Texas are reporting that a second health care worker has been diagnosed with Ebola.

This worker was also involved in the treatment of Thomas Eric Duncan, the Liberian who had Ebola and was treated in Texas before his death a week ago.

Duncan was a patient at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, Dallas, where approximately 70 workers are believed to have come into contact with him.

According to a medical record obtained by the AP, those health care workers who came into contact with Duncan “drew his blood, put tubes down his throat, wiped up his diarrhea, analyzed his urine and wiped saliva from his lips.”

The Texas Department of State Health Services confirmed that this latest worker has tested positive for the disease. The name of the worker has not been released.

The first Texan who contracted Ebola, nurse Nina Pham, also treated Duncan. Pham says she is “doing well.”
