Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been hospitalized at George Washington Medical Center in Washington DC after falling in her office at the Court on Wednesday night.
Ginsburg reportedly left the Court after her fall and went home but later went to the hospital after she continued to feel unwell.
The justice was diagnosed with three broken ribs on the left side; she was admitted to the hospital and kept for observation and treatment according to a statement by the spokesperson for the Court.
Ginsberg, 85, was appointed by President Bill Clinton and took the oath of office on August 10, 1993. She is the second female justice of four to be confirmed to the Court.
