Syrian Pilot Hassan Mohamed Mahmoud, committed suicide rather than be captured by ISIS

A 29 year-old Syrian pilot committed suicide when his plane malfunctioned and he parachuted into territory held by ISIS, according to a report in the Syrian paper, the Shaam Times.

The pilot, Hassan Mohamed Mahmoud, shot himself in the head when he was surrounded by ISIS terrorists.

The speculation is that Mahmoud preferred to die quickly rather than to have an agonizing death at the hands of the ISIS barbarians, such as the one suffered by the captured Jordanian pilot who was placed in a steel cage and burned to death in late December.

According to the IBTimes, the pilot had taken off from a base in Syria near the border with Jordan. The incident allegedly took place last week.
