Police report that tens of thousands of people visited the grave of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai in Meron this year.

It’s become a popular tradition in Israel to visit Meron on Lag B’Omer.

There were fewer complaints of traffic jams, as police didn’t allow private transportation to the site.
