IDF soldiers shot and killed one of a group of Palestinian Authority Arabs who attacked an Israeli civilian Sunday evening at a gas station on Highway 443, the old Tel Aviv-Jerusalem Highway, near Modi’in.

The terrorist stabbed the 16-year-old Israeli in the shoulder while he was filling his car with gasoline. The attacker then attempted to escape with the rest of the suspected terrorists.

IDF forces who were at the gas station at the time fired at one of the group in order to prevent their escape, and a hit was confirmed, according to a statement by the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit.

The stabber was killed by the gunfire, it was subsequently discovered.

The Israeli civilian was treated at the scene for light to moderate wounds and then evacuated to a local hospital by a Magen David Adom emergency medical team.

IDF troops are searching for at least three to four other suspects who were involved in the incident.
