UPDATE 4, 6:42 p.m. Israel Time: Official word from Superintendent Micky Rosenfeld, Israel Police Foreign Press Spokesman is that nine people were injured by a vehicle which struck people at the light rail station. The shots people heard were ones fired at the terrorist. The suspected terrorist was shot as he tried to flee the area.
UPDATE 2, 6:34 pm Israel Time: Eight people were injured in the attack at the light rail station in Jerusalem near Ammunition Hill. An infant is in critical condition, three others are in serious condition.
UPDATE 1, 6:25 pm Israeli Time There are conflicting reports about what caused the injuries at the light rail station. Initial reports said people were being “trampled,” later reports were of shooting from a car, a third report is of a train derailing, perhaps caused by shooting or other terrorist activity, and another variant is that a car was attempting to run down people near the station.
At least three people are believed injured, one seriously. One of the injured is an infant.
