The NY Post reported that Detroit Tigers slugger Delmon Young went on a drunken, anti-Semetic rampage outside the Manhattan Hilton hotel early Friday morning, shouting “F—g Jews” to a group of tourists before throwing one to the ground.
Apparently, the Detroit outfielder was inebriated enough to qualify for hospitalization following his arrest.
Young was yelling at the four men who were talking to a yarmulka-wearing panhandler on Sixth Avenue at 2:40 a.m.
Danny Worth, who hit .270 in 37 at-bats with the Tigers in 2011, was called up to fill in for Delmon Young’s spot on the roster.
