Torah scroll torched in a building in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Har Nof.

In Jerusalem, fire and rescue personnel were summoned to a fire in a building late Monday night on Rehov HaKablan.

After searching the building, the firefighters were horrified to discover a Torah scroll that had been torched.

It’s not clear who made the call to firefighters, and the Torah does not appear to have been found in a synagogue, raising further questions.

The incident is under investigation, officials said.

This is a developing story.
