One of the two men is a doctor.

The Palestinian Authority Embassy in Algiers later released a statement saying, “There is no criminal background to the deaths of the al-Farra brothers, students from Khan Younis. The two were suffocated by a gas leak in their apartment.”

Some Arab media sources report they were executed. There’s speculation among some Israelis that the two were terrorists.

There other reasonable explanations for their deaths.

Both their families have been notified.
