As if UNESCO hasn’t attacked Israel enough in the past year and tried to erase enough Jewish history, the leading candidate for chairman of UNESCO’s executive board in the upcoming October 2017 elections, is Iran’s ambassador to the UN, Admad Jelali.
The Islamic Regime of Iran has made it clear they want the Jewish State to eliminated.
Israel’s ambassador to UNESCO Carmel Shama-Hacohen described the situation as absolutely absurd, accord to a report in Yisrael Hayom. Jalali, as the Ayatollah’s representative, is not even allowed to talk to Israeli’s ambassador.
Iran wants the job, in significant part, so in can block UNESCO’s “Education 2030” plan, which among other things teaches equal rights for women and tolerance towards homosexuals.
If Iran’s candidacy wasn’t absurd enough leading candidates for other senior UNESCO positions that are opening up are from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Lebanon.
