On November 17th, JewishPress.com reported on an IDF officer who lost part of his finger in a fireworks attack, during an Arab riot in A-Ram, which is just north-east of Jerusalem.
The IDF now reports that following an investigation of the incident, they discovered that the officer was in fact shot at 3 or 4 times with live bullets, and he lost part of his finger as a result of being hit by one of the bullets and not by fireworks as they originally thought.
