What a difference a change in term — and administration — can make.
When Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara arrived at their destination – the President’s Guest House – in Washington DC on Sunday, there was a surprise waiting for them. Israel’s leading couple received a beautiful bouquet of flowers, and a letter from First Lady Melania Trump:
“We hope you enjoy your stay at the Blair House,” the First Lady wrote. “We look forward to seeing you soon.
Warmest regards,
Melania Trump”
The Trumps and the Netanyahus are scheduled for a private lunch together at the White House on Monday. No press will be allowed to join the families, and no joint statement was scheduled as of late Sunday for before or after the meeting.
