Four flaming kites carrying firebombs (Molotov cocktails) from Gaza set a wheat field ablaze in southern Israel, Channel 10 television news reported Monday. Local farmers and firefighters who were called to the scene were working together to extinguish the flames.
The firebomb kites are a new form of terrorism being used against Israel by Gaza’s ruling Hamas terrorist organization. The method was launched earlier this month as part of the attacks being carried out during Friday violence by thousands of so-called “demonstrators” at the Gaza border.
This past Friday, more than 3,000 Gazans swarmed the security fence, including many children and teens who were recruited by the terrorist organization to participate in destroying the fence while more experienced operatives attempt to infiltrate into Israeli territory to carry out terror attacks.
Four of the attackers were killed by IDF soldiers as they were busy destroying the fence, including a 15-year-old teenager who had sneaked out of his home despite his mother’s warning against it.
