IDF Spokesperson in Arabic, Avichay Adraee, issued evacuation instructions on Wednesday for the residents of Jabaliya in northern Gaza.
“”Terror organizations are again launching rockets from this specific area that has been warned several times in the past,” Adraee wrote on the X social media platform.
As usual, he attached a map of the areas that are to be evacuated.
Civilians were urged to head for shelters in central Gaza City ahead of the planned IDF strikes in the area.
During the past 24 hours, the IDF and Shin Bet struck more than 50 terrorist targets across the Gaza Strip, including terrorist cells, weapons storage facilities, underground infrastructure, anti-tank fire positions, and Hamas military structures.
Prior to the strikes, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including the use of precise munitions, aerial surveillance, and additional intelligence.
Late Tuesday night, with the direction of IDF and ISA intelligence, the IAF conducted a precise strike on a terrorist who served in a central position. The terrorist was operating inside a command and control center, which previously had served as a school in Daraj Tuffah, and was used by the terrorist to plan and execute attacks against IDF troops and the State of Israel.
Additionally, with direction from IDF and ISA intelligence, the IAF conducted precise strikes on several terror targets, including Hamas terrorist operatives, in Khan Younis and Deir al Balah.
In northern Gaza, five IDF soldiers, including an officer, were killed on Monday morning and 10 others wounded — eight with “severe injuries,” the IDF said. All the fighters were from the Reconnaissance Battalion of the Nahal Brigade.
