Shrapnel from the explosion of the IED terror balloon bored holes in the blinds on the front window, and shredded the pretty geraniums in the window box outside.

Residents of the Eshkol Regional Council district near the Gaza border gave thanks for a miracle Wednesday night after an IED (improvised explosive device) terror balloon launched by Hamas terrorists exploded in mid-air in front of a Jewish home.

Although there was damage to the home, miraculously, there were no physical injuries reported.

The front window was shattered by the explosion of the IED attached to the terror balloon sent from Gaza.

“Explosive balloons (balloons attached to homemade bombs and Molotov cocktails -ed.) and arson attacks are terrorist attacks in every way,” said Eshkol Regional Council head Gad Yarkoni in a statement following the incident.

“Tonight we are dealing with an escalation of terror. The residents of Eshkol have demonstrated exemplary patience, enabling policy makers and the military to utilize myriad ways to attempt to eradicate the terror attacks on our communities.

“We will not accept this reality, and we expect an immediate solution that will ensure long-term security and quiet.”
