Channel 14 reported Tuesday night that dozens of female IDF soldiers were sexually assaulted and harassed by Nukhba prisoners while guarding them in detention facilities and IDF bases. Officers were aware of the incidents but kept silent, covered up the incidents, and in some cases, even threatened the female soldiers to keep quiet. These assaults occurred in locations such as Anatot, Ofer Prison, Sde Teiman detention camp, hospitals, and other facilities.

Since the start of the war, hundreds of young, untrained female soldiers—including non-combatants—have been assigned to closely guard the raping and murdering Nukhba terrorists. Channel 14 uncovered the devastating cost of this decision, citing numerous testimonies that reveal daily incidents of severe sexual assault and harassment by Nukhba terrorists, leaving female soldiers in constant fear for their bodies and lives, yet receiving no response or protection.

The harassment occurs through the very tasks these female soldiers are forced to perform. They are ordered to undress terrorists, escort them hand-in-hand within the base, closely guard them in hospitals, enter cages full of terrorists alone—risking their lives—and provide them with medicine, food, and blankets. Many of these women feel they are being used as servants and handmaids to their cruel captors, rather than as soldiers fulfilling a duty to their country.

The result is a constant pattern of harassment and serious assaults in detention facilities and hospitals. The terrorists routinely leer at the female soldiers, make sexual comments, mock them, touch their private parts in their presence, and engage in even more degrading behavior—cursing at them and blowing kisses—all while the female soldiers are left vulnerable and without protection.

It should be emphasized that for every testimony Channel 14 presented, there are many more female soldiers who remain silent out of fear of punishment by the military system. As a result, countless testimonies never made it into the report. Tragically, even those who dared to speak up received no response and were forced to continue their duties, enduring repeated harassment. Female soldiers who were assaulted and requested reassignment were denied relief, sent back to their posts, and attacked again.

According to the report, female soldiers were also sexually assaulted in Sde Teiman. Until recently, Force 100 was responsible for handling these cases, but since their departure––because of a fake video cooked by the military prosecution––the situation has worsened. Social activist Ran Carmi Bozaglo warned that the female soldiers are now defenseless, living in constant fear for their bodies and lives, dreading that disaster could strike at any moment. Many have lodged complaints, pleaded with their commanders, and even sought mental health exemptions—yet they receive no response.

In a recording obtained by Channel 14’s sources, two former Force 100 fighters testified that they had encountered and dealt with numerous cases of sexual harassment and assault against the female guards by the Nukhba detainees. Now, with their unit gone, they say the terrorists are “celebrating,” taking full advantage of the female soldiers’ vulnerability.

The testimonies paint a clear and shocking picture of a widespread pattern of sexual assaults against female soldiers. This raises serious questions about the initial decision to assign them to guard these terrorists, a choice that now seems not only irresponsible but deeply troubling.

Likud MK Hanoch Milwidsky responded to the Nukhba report in a tweet placing the blame on Chief Military Advocate Major General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi: “The responsibility is on the military prosecutor. She eliminated Force 100.”

Milwidsky sharply criticized the chief military prosecutor and called on the incoming IDF chief of staff to remove her from her position immediately. “She dismantled Force 100, which was responsible for guarding and handling the Nukhba detainees—and this is the result,” the MK tweeted.
