US Vice President Mike Pence, newly sworn-in US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman

The Western Wall will be the first stop for U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman when he arrives in the Jewish State on May 15, just a week before the start of President Donald J. Trump’s two-day state visit to Israel.

The new ambassador reportedly tweeted confirmation of his upcoming arrival on Tuesday, but the account from which the tweet allegedly came was suspended by Twitter when checked by JewishPress.com .

A second Twitter account, @USAmbfriedman, is just plain #fake, according to the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv. After Friedman’s arrival in Israel, the embassy tweeted his new account would be @USAmbIsrael.

Friedman is arriving just as Israel is running into friction with its touchy neighbor, Turkey, whose President Recep Tayyip Erdogan seems to be trying to ignite a new Arab intifada in Jerusalem.

Meanwhile Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas continues to promote lies in English, claiming he is willing to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as long as President Trump is right there alongside, while in Arabic he continues to assure his citizens that he will never revoke his government’s ‘pay to slay’ policies that encourage the murder of Israelis and Jews.
