Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met Sunday in Jerusalem with Norwegian Foreign Minister Ine Marie Eriksen Søreide to discuss bilateral ties and regional issues.
The two talked about the situation in Gaza, including Norway’s “Gaza Reconstruction Mechanism” system — a system through which projects in Gaza are verified to make sure they are serving their designated purpose, and not that of the ruling Hamas terrorist organization.
It was agreed to expand cooperation on high-tech systems between Israel and Norway, with an emphasis on digital health systems.
Last week, however, Norway protested Israel’s seizure of a flotilla vessel flying the flag of Norway that illegally attempted to break through the maritime blockade of Gaza.
