Rev. Johnnie Moore, Executive Chairman of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), on Monday night slammed the United Nations for what he called its attempts to thwart the GHF’s efforts to supply aid to the people of Gaza without benefiting Hamas.

Speaking at a State Leadership Summit on Antisemitism and Support for Israel, organized by the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM), Moore said, “I’m surprised that something so right, something so simple as feeding people, has become so controversial. We have poked a lot of bears. We thought we were poking the bear of a designated terrorist organization that wants to steal the aid from people, but what we have discovered every second of every day is the underbelly of the United Nations and all of these organizations around the world.”

Johnnie Moore, 42, is an American evangelical leader and businessman, best known as the founder of the public relations firm Kairos Company. He serves as a commissioner on the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom and is the co-founder and president of the Congress of Christian Leaders. In June 2025, Moore was appointed executive chairman of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.

“We were actually told that the United Nations sent a directive to all of their agencies telling them to not work with us, despite the fact that most of the aid coming into the Gaza Strip right now is from us,” Moore revealed, adding, “And top it all off, Hamas itself actually attacked some of our volunteer Gazan aid workers, killed 12 of them, injured others of them, piled their bodies in front of Nasser Hospital in Gaza, refusing to allow them any medical treatment at all, and the United Nations, which receives billions of dollars from the United States government and the Europeans, didn’t even have the audacity to issue a statement condemning Hamas’s murder of these local Gazan aid workers.”

On June 28, GHF issued a statement acknowledging credible reports that Hamas has placed bounties on aid workers, including American personnel. The statement underscores growing concerns that Hamas is deliberately working to sabotage the GHF’s operations, as the organization has emerged as the primary provider of humanitarian aid to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

“We are aware of credible reports that Hamas is openly targeting the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation and those who work with us,” the statement read. “According to these reports, Hamas has placed bounties on both our American security personnel and Palestinian aid workers — offering cash rewards to anyone who injures or kills them.”

The GHF further reported that Hamas operatives have been observed near humanitarian zones, where they are working to disrupt aid delivery efforts.

Rev. Johnnie Moore is a prominent and influential American pastor and political strategist whose work spans from the heart of the U.S. evangelical community to key international humanitarian efforts. He is a trusted advisor to President Donald Trump and a longtime advocate for religious freedom and Middle East peace.

Moore’s influential relationship with President Donald Trump began in 2016, when he joined the president’s evangelical advisory council, quickly emerging as a trusted spiritual voice within the administration. A frequent participant in White House prayer gatherings, Moore became a leading advocate for Trump’s unwavering support of religious freedom, traditional Christian values, and strong pro-Israel policies—earning him admiration from faith communities around the world.

He also serves on the board of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (IFCJ), a prominent U.S.-based organization devoted to strengthening Jewish-Christian relations and supporting Aliyah as a profound fulfillment of biblical prophecy. The IFCJ plays a central role in advancing religious Zionism, and Moore’s involvement reflects his deep commitment to faith-driven humanitarian and geopolitical causes.

Moore’s appointment as executive chairman of GHF sparked strong reactions from some quarters, primarily due to his past support for initiatives encouraging voluntary migration from Gaza and his affiliations with organizations that promote Jewish immigration to Israel as part of a biblically inspired vision. Critics interpret these positions as aligned with broader support for settlement expansion in disputed territories.

Several Arab advocacy groups and self-described humanitarian organizations have voiced opposition, claiming that Moore’s leadership represents a politicization of aid efforts. They argue that his appointment could blur the lines between humanitarian relief and geopolitical strategy, further complicating the already sensitive dynamics on the ground. Of course, those groups conceal their connection to Hamas and the fact that the terrorist group, which is being hammered by Israel, receives its only source of oxygen from robbing aid trucks.
