UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov has closed a deal to aid Gaza with assistance from the United States, the European Union, Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
The special financial aid package, worth tens of millions of dollars, was completed on Thursday just before a subcommittee meeting of the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee (AHLC) in New York.
The package is centered on funds for the reconstruction of electricity and water infrastructure, according to a report published by Haaretz.
Negotiations over the package were led over the past year by Mladenov.
