Speedog, a leading Israeli pet supply chain, has partnered with United Hatzalah to support the organization’s Psychotrauma K-9 Unit, which offers critical psychological assistance during emergencies and disasters.
With over 25 branches across Israel, Speedog is one of the country’s largest pet supply chains. Through this new collaboration, the company will donate a portion of proceeds from Alleva pet food sales to United Hatzalah’s K-9 Unit. In addition, Speedog will supply essential equipment and food for the relief dogs that assist in emergency situations.
United Hatzalah’s K-9 Unit operates 24/7 on a volunteer basis, deploying specially trained disaster relief dogs to provide immediate emotional support at emergency sites. These dogs play a vital role in alleviating anxiety and stress, offering a calming presence that aids victims’ psychological recovery.
“Volunteerism and community impact are at the heart of what we do,” Speedog shared. “We are passionate about improving the lives of animals and people alike. From supporting animal protection organizations to hosting adoption events and assisting adoptive families, our mission is rooted in compassion and responsibility.”
Eli Pollack, Deputy CEO of United Hatzalah, praised the partnership: “This collaboration with Speedog is a tremendous blessing for our work. Their support allows us to expand the reach of our K-9 Unit and provide essential psychological assistance to more people in need. We recently added ten new disaster relief dogs to our team through an advanced training program. This partnership strengthens our ability to offer timely, targeted support, providing comfort and security to those in their most vulnerable moments.”
