IDF jets carried out retaliatory strikes in Gaza on Friday and Saturday after at least five rockets were fired from there into civilian areas in southwestern Israel. The IDF reported direct hits on multiple targets in terror centers in southern and northern Gaza, including a weapons factory.
Two Kassam rockets were reported by the Eshkol Regional Council, and two Grad missiles by the Ashkelon Regional Council. Over the weekend, a total of rockets 18 rockets were fired into Israel from Gaza. No injuries or damages were reported as a result of the attacks. The Popular Resistance Committees (PRC), a terror group allied with Hamas, claimed responsibility for the attacks.
“The IDF will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israeli citizens and IDF soldiers and will continue to act decisively and strongly against anyone who uses terrorism against Israel,” an IDF spokesman said. “The Hamas terrorist organization is the address and bearer of responsibility.”
