Comedienne Roseanne Bar on Thursday landed in Israel on a visit intended to boost her fight against BDS. She has already planted a tree in Peduel in Samaria, accompanied by the man who introduced her to modern-day, right-wing Jewish ideology, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan. in the settlement of where she was greeted by children with bouquets of flowers.

She was received by children bearing flowers, although it’s not clear how many of them were familiar with her successful TV series or with the circumstances of its cancellation.
For her part, Roseanne, who made the switch from ant- to pro-Israel after some unpleasantness—including magazine cover dressed as Adolf Hitler—this time declared that the settlements are “the pioneers who stand at the front of the State of Israel.”
In the coming week, Roseanne is scheduled to visit the Knesset and meet with Culture Minister Miri Regev. Later, accompanied by Rabbi Boteach, she will also visit Tel Aviv, the Carmel and Golan mountains, and historical sites. Rabbi Boteach’s World Values Network is paying for the trip.
She told Arutz 7 she had come to Israel to be of service to her people, and compared the BDS efforts to the Nazi boycotts of Jewish-owned stores. She also pointed to boycotts of Jewish stores in some parts of the United States. And she claimed that she had been fired by ABC from her smash hit series, a revival of her old, groundbreaking show from the 1980s, because of anti-Semitism.
In case you were on a visit to Mars at the time, we’ll remind you that last year, Roseanne tweeted that President Obama’s senior advisor Valerie Jarrett looked as if the “Muslim Brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby.” Her punishment was swift – overnight she lost her show and was no longer welcome on America’s mainstream media.
It didn’t help that she was a devoted supporter of President Trump and was seen in public a lot wearing the red MAGA cap. She had no friend left in the world – at which point she discovered Rabbi Boteach.
