Former chief of staff Benny Gantz as well as a representative of the Judea and Samaria settlements will speak for the first time before the 2019 policy conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) On March 24. They will share the stage with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The settlement enterprise representative, Efrat council head Oded Revivi, told Makor Rishon that AIPAC has finally understood they can’t continue to ignore half a million Israelis.
Gantz’s Blue and White party on Tuesday issued a statement saying “Gantz will clarify in his speech over there that after. He wins the elections Israel will return to being a country the entire United States could support, ending the battle between Netanyahu and US Jewry. Gantz will strengthen the strategic partnership with the US both in policy and in the fight against terrorism.”
In other words, support us, we are ready to capitulate on everything.
Ariel Sender, a strategic adviser to the Trump and the GOP mission in Israel, said having Gantz speak in Washington is an important event, but cautioned that today’s Democratic party is to the left of Israel’s Arab parties and that Gantz’s belief that he could revive the Democrats’ view of Israel from 30 years ago is just a dream.
