“All of Israel appreciates the impressive way in which you represented and strengthened the alliance between America and Israel,” he said, “and the way you defended Israel and the truth, in the United Nations. You are a great supporter of this alliance and you have the enduring gratitude of all of Israel.”

Haley, who arrived Wednesday, prayed at the Western Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem, placing a note between the stones of the wall, which she also did during her visit to Israel two years ago during her time as the U.S. envoy to the UN.
Great seeing my friend,
, at the site of our new US embassy in Jerusalem. I was proud to be at the site we fought so hard for at the United Nations. Thank you for your friendship and partnership.

During her tenure as ambassador, Haley helped shepherd the U.S. decision to withdraw from the UN Human Rights Council, to end America’s funding for the Palestinian Authority via UNRWA, and to support and defend the decision by President Donald Trump to formally recognize the city of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. She ultimately became one of the feistiest and most popular American ambassadors to serve as envoy to the United Nations in recent history.
