Destroyed Hamas terror base after IAF air strike in Gaza.

Israeli fighter pilots attacked the office of a Hamas battalion commander early Sunday morning in retaliation for a barrage of rocket fire aimed at southern Israeli communities on Sunday night (Aug. 25).

“Fighter planes attacked several terror targets in Hamas’ military compound in northern Gaza, including the office of a Hamas battalion commander. The strike was carried out in retaliation for the rockets launched from Gaza on Sunday evening,” the IDF Spokesperson said in a statement.

“The Israel Defense Forces will continue acting against attempts to harm Israel’s citizens and views the Hamas terrorist organization as responsible for everything that takes place in the Gaza Strip.”

A spokesperson for Hamas said the rockets were not launched by any of the group’s factions. Local sources said sites belonging to the military wing of Hamas, the Izz a-Din al-Qassam Brigades were targeted in the air strikes.
