“I never knew the story about Yehoshua.” Friends of Ari Fuld, HY”D wrote in to today’s Live Stream-A-Thon mentioning that, wondering how this young man’s relates to this event. Yehoshua trained and served together with Ari; the two were friends, Lone Soldiers together.
In 1992, Yehoshua (Jason) Friedberg HY’D, enlisted as an Israeli soldier together with Ari. One year later, in 1993, he was kidnapped and murdered 27 years ago on Purim by Palestinian Authority terrorists. Ironically, sadly, his friend Ari Fuld, HY”D was the one, together with a partner who found his body.
Last year, in 2018 a Palestinian Authority teenager terrorist killed Ari. This Live Stream-A-Thon is raising money to complete the project that Ari began, to commemorate his friend Yehoshua Freidberg through the creation and operation of a Hospitality truck to service IDF Soldiers in the field. Only now, it will commemorate the two friends together. . .
“If life is easy you’re not living it right,” Ari’s daughter said at his funeral.
