Turkey’s presidential communications director on Wednesday attacked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who had attacked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for attacking Netanyahu who declared that Israel was the nation state of the Jewish people.
It began with Netanyahu’s response to last Sunday’s post by Model-slash-TV presenter Rotem Sela’s declaration that Jews and Arabs (and the Druze and the LGBTs and even the leftists) should be equal in all manner in Israel, which the PM corrected on Monday citing the new Nationality Law which declares that Israel is actually “the nation-state of the Jewish people alone.”
On Tuesday, Erdogan condemned Netanyahu’s comment as “blatant racism,” through presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin, who tweeted: “I strongly condemn this blatant racism and discrimination. 1.6 million Arabs/Muslims live in Israel. Will the Western governments react or keep silent under pressure again?”
Which Bibi countered with “Turkey’s dictator Erdogan attacks Israel’s democracy while Turkish journalists and judges fill his prisons. What a joke!”
Which Kalin countered with: “The apartheid state he leads occupies Palestinian lands, kills women, children, and imprisons Palestinians in their own land. Lies and pressure will not hide your crimes.”
