A resident of eastern Jerusalem is under arrest for being in contact with Hezbollah and other terror groups, it was cleared for publication on Thursday.
The suspect, identified as a 32-year-old man, is accused of making contact with Hezbollah, sharing information with one of its operatives, and joining an online group called the “Resistance Axis.” According to the indictment filed in Jerusalem District Court, the suspect also shared information about sensitive locations he had photographed.
He also was in contact with terror groups in Jenin, where the suspect was photographed with weapons.
According to the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), the Hezbollah operative in question had tried to recruit other eastern Jerusalem residents who have been indicted in recent months.
Authorities arrested the suspect in December.
