Internal Security Minister Gilad Erdan ordered the expulsion from Jerusalem of the family of the terrorist who wounded 2 Border Policemen this week. The terrorist was killed in the attack.
The father is suspected of helping the son with his plans.
The expulsion didn’t send the family too far, as they were only expelled from the Jerusalem neighborhood of Issawiya to their choice of Judea or Samaria – not even Gaza or Syria.
The legal basis for the expulsion was that the family was in Jerusalem illegally, as they has only applied for Jerusalem residency permits.
Still, it was a first step in the right direction in the ongoing search for a deterrent measure that works against Islamic terrorists who look forward to dying for Islam.
63% of Israelis want terrorists’ families deported to Gaza or Syria.
