US lawmakers met recently with Israeli reservists in Washington DC to discuss the importance of achieving a “total victory” in the current multi-front war being fought by the Jewish State, along with the need to “bolster deterrence and prevent further atrocities against the Jewish people.”
IDF Major (res.) Gilad Ach, who heads The Israeli Reservists ‘Generation of Victory’ (The Miliumnikim) organization, met with more than a dozen top Republican legislators on Capitol Hill.
“The partnership between Israel and the United States has always been a cornerstone of our national security … The support of the US and its leadership in the new administration is essential for Israel to overcome the challenges we face and secure a prosperous future for our citizens,” Ach said.
During the meetings, Ach emphasized the importance of establishing buffer zones in the north and south of Israel to ensure strong deterrence and the prevention of future massacres. He added that international support is essential to Israel’s military efforts and security goals.
Ach also presented the lawmakers with detailed position papers outlining strategies for addressing key conflict areas, including Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, and other war fronts, calling for decisive and clear action in these regions to ensure Israel’s long-term safety.
The lawmakers who met with the Israeli reservists’ organization included:
• Speaker of the House Congressman Mike Johnson (R-LA),
• Congressman Brian Mast (R-FL),
• Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH),
• Congressman Juan Vargas (D-CA),
• Congressman Glenn Grothman (R-WI),
• Congressman Mark Green (R-TN),
• Congressman Josh Brecheen (R-OK),
• Congressman Brandon Williams (R-NY),
• Congressman Doug Lamborn (R-CO),
• Congressman Roger Marshall (R-KS),
• Congressman Eli Crane (R-AZ),
• Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX),
• Congressman Scott Perry (R-PA), and
• Senator Rick Scott (R-FL).
Mast, who is set to become the new Head of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, is a US Army veteran who served in combat. “To all you reservists out there, thank you for being in the fight. Stay resolute, stay motivated,” he told the group.
“I know it’s not easy to be away from your families, but when you’re in the fight and have a nation depending on you, you know the calling is worth the sacrifice. Stay strong and make sure you do your duty every single day.”
