Knife used by terrorist in Jerusalem Old City attack. March 18, 2018

One person was stabbed in a terror attack on Hagai Street in the Old City of Jerusalem. The attack happened around 4:50 PM on Sunday.

The victim, a guard in his 30’s, was stabbed in the upper body and is seriously wounded. He was taken to the Kotel and from there evacuated to Sharei Tzedek Hospital.
Update 5:31 PM The victim has been taken to the trauma center at the hospital.
Update: 5:59 PM The victim is reported to now be in critical condition.

The terrorist was shot and neutralized – reports indicate that the terrorist is dead.

United Hatzalah reports that the terrorist tried to stab a number of people.

UPDATE: The terrorist has been identified as an Arab from a village near Shechem (Nablus) and not a Turkish national as Channel 10 reported, according to Elior Levy of YNet.

 

United Hatzalah volunteer first responder Dr. Yishai Ben Uri Zilbeger said: “After being notified by United Hatzalah’s dispatch and Command center to the incident in the Old City, I arrived at the scene and found one person in their 20’s suffering from a stab wound in their upper chest. He was in serious condition. I treated him at the scene for his injuries following which he was transported from the location of the incident to the hospital for further care and observation.”
