One police officer was lightly wounded with a stab wound to the shoulder in a terrorist attack near the Temple Mount on Thursday afternoon in the Old City of Jerusalem.
Medics from the Magen David Adom emergency medical response service treated the police officer on the scene. The incident took place near the Chain (Shalshelet) Gate entrance to the Old City.
The victim, age 30, was fully conscious when the medics arrived, according to MDA emergency medical officer Moshe Cordova. “After providing first aid to address the bleeding we transported him to the hospital in good condition,” Cordova said.
One terrorist was killed and the second terrorist who was wounded died later in the hospital.
Both of the terrorists were 13-year-old teenagers.
