The Ketzelle Report, which tracks the growth of the Jewish population in Judea and Samaria, released its latest findings last week, reflecting data updated for early 2025.
According to the report, the Jewish population in Judea and Samaria grew by 2.33% in 2024, reaching 529,455 residents. This growth rate is more than double Israel’s overall population increase of 1.1%, which brought the country’s total population past ten million, as reported by the Central Bureau of Statistics.
Yaakov Katz, a.k.a. Ketzelle, 74, is a prominent figure in Israel’s settlement movements. He is a founding member of Gush Emunim, one of the founders of the Beit El settlement and its learning institutions. Katz also played a key role in establishing Arutz 7, first on the high seas as a pirate radio station, and later as the Arutz 7 conglomerate where he serves as chairman of the board of directors.
Ketzele told Arutz 7: “We are living in a generation of redemption and the gathering of exiles, with nearly 8 million Jews in the Land of Israel. Just as Cyrus allowed the construction of the Temple in his time, so too, in our generation, Trump is emerging as a leader who is fulfilling the will of the Creator. We must seize his leadership period, along with a strong government, to advance the interests of the people of Israel.”
The report provides a detailed breakdown of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, including regional divisions and individual community populations, based on the Israel Population Registry. It also outlines growth trends for these communities over the past five years.
Looking ahead, the report predicts that the Jewish population in Judea and Samaria will reach 605,000 by 2030.
The number of 529,455 Jewish residents in Judea and Samaria does not include the Old City and the neighborhoods of eastern Jerusalem, where approximately 340,000 Jewish residents live in 23 neighborhoods of Jerusalem on land that was liberated in June 1967 and are outside the Green Line. The combined current number of Judea, Samaria, and eastern Jerusalem Jews today is around 870,000.
