Yitzchak Herzog and Tzipi Livni of the Zionist Union

Tzipi Livni (Hatnua) and Yitzchak Herzog (Labor) agreed to merge their two leftwing parties together to form a new party, to be called “The Zionist Camp”.

Polls showed that if they run together, they could get 23 seats.

As the two couldn’t decide which of them should become the Prime Minister, they agreed to rotate the position between the two of them – should they win.

What’s not clear is if the name “The Zionist Camp” will turn off their more leftwing voters, or simply confuse them.
