SpaceIL’s spacecraft Beresheet crash-landed on the moon as it was making its final descent to the surface, last Thursday evening.
Immediately following the crash, Prime Minister Netanyahu said that he wanted Israel to try again and to reach the moon within two to three years.
Morris Khan, who was the primary investor in the Beresheet, in an interview on Channel 12’s “Meet the Press”, announced that after thinking it over, and noting all the encouragement and support he received from all over the world, he was investing in Beresheet 2.
This time, Morris Khan wants the Israeli public to help fund the project.
