Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu cancelled his planned visit to Colombia, according to a Maariv report, due to the security situation in Israel’s south, along the Gaza border.
Netanyahu was supposed to go the inauguration of the country’s new president, Iván Duque. It was to be his second trip to Colombia in less than a year.
Surprisingly, the Gaza border has been relatively quiet these past few days with the terror level at the lowest it has been these past few weeks and months, which leads to the question, what has really changed that Netanyahu suddenly cancelled his trip?
Speculation, if it is related to Gaza at all, is that either Israel and Hamas are going to reach a ceasefire arrangement, or the IDF is expecting a new round of terror after Israel banned fuel deliveries until the Gazan arson balloons stop.
