American rapper Snoop Dogg is the new brand ambassador of Israeli startup company Seedo, which makes an automated device for home-growing marijuana, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
The American rapper, who has long promoted marijuana use in his music, said in a statement posted on Seedo’s website on Tuesday that “promoting a healthier lifestyle by providing my friends and communities with products that allow for growth in unused urban spaces is something I’m all the way down with. Seedo creates cost savings and the opportunity for all people to benefit from agricultural technologies.”
The Seedo Automated Home Grow Device, which looks something like a mini-fridge, is an airtight, automated system complete with an internal HD camera enabling an individual to check on plants’ progress from a smartphone via a special app without ever opening the machine’s door. Seedo uses artificial intelligence to analyze plant’s development and then takes automated actions to optimize growing parameters.
And it works with more than just cannabis.
According to Seedo, its technology provides automated growing for home or commercial use and cuts costs without the use of pesticides.
