An Arab attacked a Jewish man at the parking lot of the Tekoa forest, in Gush Etzion on Sunday morning, and escaped into the forest.
The Arab managed to jump the community security fence in the forest, grabbed a metal rod in one of the back yards, and attacked with it a Jewish resident who happened to be armed. With the help of two neighbors, the armed man managed to subdue the attacker without having to use his gun.
The suspect was arrested.
Earlier, the same Arab reportedly attacked a Jewish woman with stones and then beat her up. She suffered from a panic attack and received medical treatment on the site.
The residents of Tekoa were asked to stay indoors while Security forces are scanning the area for additional suspects.
