The IDF on Monday morning informed the family of Ashraf Na’alwa, the terrorist who murdered Ziv Hajabi and Kim Yehezkel-Levengrond in a terror attack in Barkan, that their home has been slated for demolition. The family will be able to appeal the decision within the next three days.
“We will continue to act determinedly to thwart terror attacks and to deter potential terrorists,” the IDF Spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, security forces continue their hunt for Na’alwa.
About a week ago, Na’alwa came to the factory where he worked in the Barkan industrial zone in Samaria and took plastic cable ties from the warehouse, claiming he intended to repair the electricity in the office. He then tied the late Kim Yehezkel-Levengrond Hy’d, the mother of an 18-months-old infant from Rosh Haayin, and murdered her and the late Ziv Hajabi Hy’s at close range, wounding another woman. He fled the scene shortly thereafter.
In assessing the attack, the security forces have attempted to analyze the terrorist’s behavior before and after the attack. They tried to understand why the terrorist had bound Kim Yehezkel-Levengrond. So far, the working assumption is that the terrorist was influenced by ISIS propaganda and tried to imitate their methods of action.
Overnight Monday, IDF, Shin Bet, Border Police and the Israel Police forces arrested 22 wanted persons suspected of involvement in terrorist activities.
