The third trilateral meeting of the committees on foreign affairs of the parliaments of Cyprus, Greece and Israel took place in Athens last Thursday. The second meeting was hosted by the Knesset in 2017.
The delegation of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee was headed by Chairman Avi Dichter (Likud) and included MKs Ayelet Nahmias-Verbin (Zionist Union), Amir Ohana (Likud) and Aliza Lavie (Yesh Atid).
The meetings focused on the shared interests and challenges of Israel, Cyprus and Greece, cooperation in energy-related areas, climate change and enhancing the ties between the countries’ legislatures.
