According to Possner, an assistant principal at MS 226 in South Ozone Park, Queens, he was also being “tormented” by his principal, who told him he was “on the wrong side of God.” Possner claims he heard White say she had “one Jew too many” in the school.
Possner accuses the principal, Rushell White, a Christian, that she “callously targeted” him, alleging she ordered him to pick up a plum off the floor, which was followed by insulting texting from the school custodians, according to court papers.
Ozone Park is a middle class neighborhood in the southwestern section of Queens, in New York City. It borders Woodhaven, Richmond Hill, Howard Beach, and City Line, Brooklyn. The neighborhood is in the Sixth congressional district, represented by Democrat Gregory Meeks. The name “Ozone Park” was picked to attract buyers with notions of refreshing breezes blowing in from the Ocean to a neighborhood dipped in parks. The Aqueduct Racetrack is located there.
