Meanwhile, Abbas is making his usual rounds of drumming up international support under Kerry’s nose, waiting for the day that Israel will say “no” and he can unleash his political ammunition.
In London last week, Abbas met British Prime Minister David Cameron, who faithfully stated, “The UK would strongly oppose unilateral provocations on either side and would continue its strong opposition to Israeli settlement activity in the Palestinian Territories.”
How about that for an even-handed statement? Britain opposed to “unilateral provocations on either side” but explains only what those might be in Israel.
Abbas also is working on the Catholics, who love to forget that the Palestinian Authority indiscriminately harassed Christians until it was politically favorable to be nice to them.
While in London, he met with the head of the Catholic Church in England and Wales, Archbishop Vincent Nichols and affirmed how much the Christians are a “real part of the Palestinian community and not simply a minority,” according to Christian Today.
