35 ultra-Orthodox police officers completed special training and became volunteer Israel Police officers on Thursday.

The 35 enlisted in the police as an alternative to serving in the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) to fulfill their obligations under Israel’s military service draft.

Their training lasted about three weeks, during which they learned the powers and values of the police, and were trained to act as police officers.

The training was carried out by the faculty of the Special Operations Command (SOC) program in the Special Operations Branch of the National Police College, under the supervision of the Chief of the Training Division and in cooperation with the police’s Haredi Integration Squad.
