Unidentified individuals vandalized synagogues and several Jewish-owned cars last Friday night in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood, home to a large Haredi Jewish community. The NYPD launched an investigation into the incidents, according to a report shared Saturday night on the Williamsburg News X account.

Security cameras on the street recorded one incident, showing an unidentified individual running between cars around 2 AM on Saturday and violently slashing the tires of multiple parked vehicles. The suspect’s identity remains unclear, which may pose challenges for the NYPD in advancing their investigation.

According to WMSBG, there were also acts of vandalism against shuls in the neighborhood.
