Investigators at the Rishon LeZion precinct launched a swift investigation after receiving multiple reports of graffiti reading “[Expletive] Israel… Free Palestine” spray-painted on walls and other surfaces throughout the city. Following an undercover operation, police arrested two suspects—a local resident and his wife, who made Aliyah to Israel from Russia several years ago.

A search of their apartment uncovered anti-Israel posters, a large cache of military equipment, air weapons and various weapon parts suspected of being used to assemble improvised firearms, ammunition, and smoke grenades.

The court has extended the couple’s detention, and the investigation is ongoing.
