Crown Heights perpetrator in police custody

In a second attack in less than two days in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, Wednesday morning, a Jewish man was hit by a man shouting “I’m fed up with the Jews!” Col Live reported.

The victim, member of the Lubavitch Chassidic movement and a resident of Crown Heights, was approached by an African American male at about 6 AM, as he was walking on Lefferts near Albany Avenues reading prayers from his cell phone. The attacker slapped the phone out of his hand and punched him in the face, NYPD reported.

Police arrested the attacker, a 46 year old Crown Heights resident. During his arrest, the man called out, “I’m fed up with the Jews!” as well as other Anti-Semitic statements, Col Live reported. The police is treating the attack as a hate crime.
