IDF forces demolished the home of the family of Ashraf Na’alwa in the Shuweika suburb north of Tulkarem, Ma’an reported Monday morning.
According to the Arab news agency, dozens of Israeli soldiers stormed the home of the terrorist’s family in preparation for the demolition. Earlier, the force stormed the village with military bulldozers, while violent clashes broke out between local rioters and Israeli soldiers. Three rioters were arrested.
Local sources said that the Directorate of Education decided to disrupt schools and kindergartens in Shuweika due to the curfew placed on the entire area ahead of the IDF campaign that was launched at dawn on Monday, and in light of the fact that dozens of soldiers were positioned on the rooftops of neighborhood homes.
The IDF force stormed the Na’alwa house and the military bulldozers started to demolish the entrance of the three-story building, following which soldiers began the manual demolition of the structure.
A spokesman for the Red Crescent in Tulkarem said that six locals were injured during clashes with the Army.
On Sunday evening, dozens of Arabs barricaded themselves inside the Na’alwa building in an attempt to prevent the IDF from demolishing it after the issued deadline.
Last week, an IDF force killed the terrorist, who two months ago murdered two of his Jewish co-workers at a plant in the Barkan industrial zone, where cooperation between local Arabs and Jews is encouraged.
